Shine South is a local charity that is here to help and support children, young adults and families, who are affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus within our area. We cover the areas of Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire. The charity is run solely by volunteers made up of parents of past and current members. We are a non profit organisation and every penny raised goes back into the charity to support our members.
SHINE stands for Spina bifida - Hydrocephalus - Information - Networking - Equality.
We are a registered charity (255998) and used to be known as Southampton and District Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association
