Shine South's long serving Chairman Stan Fitz-Gerald stepped down on 26th March in the AGM . We have a newly elected Chairman Lorraine Norman. We would like to wish her good luck in her new role over the coming year.
Shine South meet with Tesco Hythe manager Justin Kline, Fiona Thomas - Customer Services and Tony Willis - Community Champion in April. With the support of Tesco volunteering their services our Refurb Project 2016 would start 21st May.
Shine South would like to thank Jane Welsh, Mayor of Eastleigh (2015/16) for helping to raise £10,000 for Shine South over her mayoral year. This will help towards the refurbishment of our lodge which will be of great benefit to our members.

Tesco Hythe Fundraising for Shine South
June 2016
Shine South started the refurb on Friday 21st May with Tesco Tech Team on Friday. Over the following few days more tesco staff came to volunteer their services.
Shine South would like to thank Tesco for being instrumental with pushing this project forward and donating their time and fundraising for us in May. Special thanks to Justin Kline for propelling the project forward and kindly donating a sofa bed & TV, Roy Brooks for making it all happen, Chris Hilton for leading the tech guys & Fiona Thomas for fundraising, decorating and buying all the wonderful things in the lodge that Tesco have kindly donated. Tesco also presented Shine South with a cheque of £1,215 from donations given by customers over a weekend in May. We have been overwhelmed with the support given over the past few months. A BIG thank you to all of you.
